Dr James Loh

Dr James Loh runs his own education consultancy firm, advising parents and students on GCSE, A-Level and university studies in the UK. He has been doing this for the past 25 years.

In his work, Dr Loh has met with principals and university admission tutors and has acquired a considerable amount of expertise and experience in knowing what admission tutors are looking for in potential students. He has a special interest in medical, dental and veterinary science studies, and has helped many Singapore, Malaysian, Hong Kong, Indonesian, and Thai students gain admission to leading medical and veterinary science schools in the UK, Australia, Singapore and elsewhere as well as to top universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, University College London, Imperial College, LSE, King's College, Warwick, Nottingham, Durham, Edinburgh, etc.

Dr Loh has worked in the elite Singapore Administrative Service and the private and educational sectors and was an Associate Professor (Adjunct) in NTU for 10 years until his retirement in 2000.  He was also a member of the Advisory Committee of the Temasek Business School from 1990-2004.  For his services to Australian education in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters by Curtin University of Technology, Perth in 2008.

Dr Loh represents 5 unique A-Level schools/colleges in the UK, and one Irish Leaving Certificate (equivalent to A-Levels) school in Ireland.
